Wednesday -- Coming Home tomorrow

Dear Ady and Delilah,
Today is my last day in Florida! I am sad to leave, but I am glad that I am going to see you.

The weather was perfect today for the beach.  80 degrees!  So we spent a lot of time at the beach.  We snorkeled, boogy boarded, and made a sand castle.  I collected a lot of sea shells on the beach and soaked up the sunshine.  I liked snorkeling with Jaycie -- she looks funny in her big flippers!  They make her walk funny.

I walked with Miss Becky, Jaycie, Kiyah, and Sawyer this morning.  We walked about 6 blocks and looked at all of the little beach houses.  I loved the really big ones located right on the water.  I also walked with Mr. Travis to the local library.  We returned some puzzles that Sawyer and I had checked out.

See you soon!  Flat Stanley

2/18/14

Dear Ady and Delilah,
Today was a yummy day. I got to go on the trolley and ride to Two Scoops, the ice cream shop!

Then we had two scoops of ice cream! I had rocky road.

Finally, we went to the pier. I met Flat Ben there! He didn't want a picture though.

Bye for now, Flat Stanley

2/17/14

Dear Ady and Delilah,
Today I went to the yarn store and saw a BIG sculpture!  It was so big it filled up the entire shelf.  It was made out of yarn and had so many types of coral shown.

Then Jaycie got lots of yarn. One of them was my size! Jaycie is going to knit herself a scarf.  Maybe she'll knit me one someday.

Tomorrow we are going on the trolley to Two Scoops! They have lots of yummy ice cream there.

See you, Flat Stanley

Weekend!

Dear Ady and Delilah,

It's been cold here -- only in the 60s.  So we bundled up in jackets and jeans for the weekend.

I started off Saturday with a 2 hour walk with Miss Becky and Mr. Travis.  They walked so long.  I am glad that I am flat and fit into a pocket; my legs would've been tired.

Saturday was Jaycie's birthday; she's 12 now.  That's really old, isn't it?  We had chocolate cake and cookies n cream ice cream after dinner.  Yummy!  She got some presents, including an awesome doll skating outfit.  Saige modeled it the next day, although it is a little warm for ice skating here.

On Sunday morning, we all went to Miss Wendy's church.  Jaycie had Happy Birthday sung to her in church.  She was the youngest birthday in February.

After church, we had a visitor on Miss Wendy's deck.  It was a Wood Stork.  This type of bird is endangered, so we felt honored that he visited with us.  He sat on the deck and looked at all of us for a long time.  He has a scaly head and the biggest, pinkest feet you ever saw!

See you Monday!  Flat Stanley

Dear Ady and Delilah,
Today we went to the garden store. There were so many pretty plants there!

I also met Mama Cat. She licked me.

Finally, we went to the beach. It was fun. We made a hill.

Have fun, Flat Stanley

Monday in Florida

Dear Ady and Delilah,  Today I went to a store with a lot of parrots out front.  They were noisy but cool.  Then we went into the store, and Jaycie and Kiyah bought some pretty seashells.  I bought some sea shells.

For dinner, we went to the Anna Maria Oyster Bar.  The tables had seashells in them.  Out on the deck, there were heaters with flames.

As soon as I come home, I will give you the seashells.  I did spend some time at the beach but no pictures of that yet.

Stay warm, Flat Stanley

Dear Ady and Delilah,

Today was a big day.  First I went to the airport, and the jets were very big.

Then, we went on the plane. It was a little bumpy, but it was fun. I even got snacks!

Next, we came to the airport, and rode to the house in a limo!
After that, I met Miss Wendy, Jaycie's, Kiyah's, and Sawyer's grandma.

Finally, I went to the pier. The sea was so cool!

Day 3

Dear Ady and Delilah,
Today I went to the Sunrise family restaurant with Miss Becky.  It was very fun. I saw Miss Linda, Miss Crystal, and your mom.

We packed big bags full of things to bring to Florida. I helped pack Jaycie's backpack.

Miss Becky showed me a picture of Florida. It looks like fun! I can't wait.

Flat Stanley Day 2

Dear Ady and Delilah,

Today was a big day.  I started with a wonderful breakfast of Mickey Mouse waffles.  They were so yummy!  I liked to eat the ears.

After breakfast, I helped Kiyah finish her artwork.  She and I peeled the tape off it.  So pretty.

We went to a yarn store this afternoon.  I loved to see all the pretty colors of the different yarns.  I didn't know there were so many types.  Jaycie learned to knit a sock -- I tried but found it hard to hold the needles.

Finally, we ended the afternoon at Girl Scouts, where I got to see Hannah and Delilah.  That was nice.  I can't wait to see what's happening tomorrow!

Day 1 with Flat Stanley

Dear Ady,

Today I went with Miss Becky, Kiyah and Sawyer to the library.  We looked at some books.  Here we are hanging out in the Biography section.

Kiyah was there for a painting class.  It was very fun and very messy!  I enjoyed the finished product though.
Tomorrow we will pull the tape off of the painting and make it beautiful!  I will be sure to send you a picture of the painting.

While Kiyah painted, I helped Miss Becky pick out two books for Hannah.  I also got to help Sawyer color a picture.  She made a valentine for Delilah.
That's me hanging out in the really big box of crayons!  They were a little pointy, but because I am so flat, they didn't hurt me at all.

Miss Becky told me that in 3 days I am going to go with them all to Florida!  It sounds like a wonderful adventure.  I can't wait!  I will update you tomorrow.
